New Wiper Blades

Has anyone replaced their front wiper blades yet? The one on my drivers side doesn't clear very well and is starting to streak really bad (~6500 miles, 6 months so I guess I can't complain too much). I haven't been to happy with the performance of them, so I'm not too keen on getting another set of OEM blades, but there doesn't seem to be many other options (From what I've gathered the XC40 uses a 9x4 hook vs the more common in the US 9x3?).

Does anyone know who makes the OEM blades? I've had good luck in the past with Valeo, so if they are the one's who make them, I'd be a bit a little extra disappointed.

The Rain X blades come up as compatible, so that will probably be what I end up trying unless anyone has another good suggestion!

Wow, I never realized how complicated wiper blade arm connections could get. I put a pair of the Latitude 2-1s on there for now since I really needed new blades. So far so good with just washer fluid, but I'll update after we get some rain (probably tomorrow).

But here's what I've learned (there are probably people here that already knew this and/or I'm completely wrong, but here I go anyway):
The XC40 doesn't use either size J-Hook, it uses a Narrow PTB mounting, and it does look like the OEM is Bosch. From what I can tell looking around online, manufacturers seem to have slightly different terminology when it comes to this and similar connectors, specifically Top Lock (1&2)/Pinch Tab/Button style blades. I think between that and it being so new, that's why there seems to be such limited availability of options. For example, I believe the Valeo Ultimate 9002411B/900209B would work fine with the XC40. Using the '18 XC90 as a reference since they should use the same confirms the 20" part number is compatible, but nothing comes back for the 24", so still not a perfect answer.

I tried Bosch replacement blades. While the connector looked compatible for my xc90, it was off enough where I felt I had to jam the two pieces together. I ended up just getting replacement Volvo blades as they lasted me over a year before needing replacement.

same with my s90 2018 and s60 2017. dealer replaced the wipers 3 times but driver side stil bad. i dono if its quality of oem blades or something wrong with the arm.

While not directly applicable to me, I have an S60 and have replaced out with OEM wipers. They seem to work well enough. Can't speak to the ones on the X40 though.

I'm so confused. Sounds like no one has replaced blades successfully on an XC40 without the dealer involved. Am I mistaken?

I'm currently using the Latitude 2-N-1 blades. They installed without any problems. So far I do like them better than the OEM blades, but I still think I'm going to attempt to try the Valeo blades next go around. I really like that the Rain-X blades treat the Windshield with rain repellent (I know some people have mixed feelings on those treatments, I love it), but I do get some weird, I guess I would describe it as a "haze", when the blade wipes, but it fades away really quickly. The blades also skip a little at the end of the sweep. Not sure if that has to do with the treatment, the blades themselves, or me being to picky.

thought it was worth a bump... after ~4500 miles my blades are streaking and i'm looking to try something new. I noticed autozone and oreily are now showing multiple compatible parts for the XC40. Autozone lists the new rain-x silicone advantage blades which i'm tempted to try. It seems the only blade for the rear is the OE bosch which is a special order item unfortunately.
