I had a Hard time - getting them over to Digital - there must be better - Ways , If anyone knows of any Please send Me Your Idea's .

I also have some : 60 Year Old Negatives .

In the second Pic. My Mom's Jeans are Rolled up and have a Lining - I just remember seeing an Old pair like that in a Draw somewhere .

I'm not sure If the Can in Dad's Hand is a Metal Polish or the - Old style Beer Cans .

I'm Leaning toward Metal Polish as the Top Shoulder of the can look to Rounded .

There are services that will convert negatives and slides to digital. Or you can buy a back-lit scanner and do it yourself.

Thanks - maybe a new Version - as had NO Luck with the Older ones .

I tried one of those - Dam Scanners 12 yrs. and 8 yrs. ago the Soft Ware - always - Sucks Big time .
Then they say just buy Our Full Version - which is $385.00 : LOL

Any suggested Products ?

No suggestions as it has been a while since I bought one. The last one I got included enough software to scan and convert to JPG (and negatives to positives).

Old photos are fascinating!

The scanner that I purchased last year is a Plustek OpticFilm 7400 for 35mm film & transparencies. It came with 2 types of holders: one for 35mm negs and one for mounted 35mm transparencies. It was already a model being closed out last Summer when I bought it.

Included was fairly versatile image handling software on a CD. I haven’t yet fully explored all of its features and capabilities but I was able to learn enough in a short time to do what I wanted to do. It proved to be more than satisfactory in the quality of scan (up to 7200 dpi) as I converted about 375 images from 35mm sources to JPGs for a college reunion of mine.

The scans revealed a level of detail in the negatives that were never apparent in the prints that were made from them when they were new (1970’s).

I wish I could find one at a decent price that would feed slides and 35mm negatives. Then I could put a stack in and come back later.
