I also see 3.5.27 in the app that was released in between? I'm very confused. I just went into the dealer last week for regular maintenance and he did upgrade to 3.5.24.

The 3.5.24 update does seem snappier, but also definitely more bugs -- I've already had the rear camera not function, AC not work in just a few times driving. So I'm hoping I can actually upgrade to this this new 3.6.4 OTA without going back to the dealer for my 2024 XC60 and that it addresses some of the bugs.

Pretty sure this is the release to help address the MY25.5+ PHEV and BEV braking issue. Dealers were told there'd be a fix by Monday, and they seemed to deliver on that.

It is confusing though having two updates in the list that say they'll be OTA though. They'll likely just push the latest one only.

this latest one, Volvo is pushing out quickly because of the issue, or at least trying to. Over the air updates have always been on a rolling basis not available to everyone all at the same time, my guess is they’re working their way through the most recent model years with the latest update (less likely to fail/brick?).

Using VIDA - 3.5.24 was a 2GB download that updated 16 ECUs, it took over an hour. 3.6.4 said it could take 90 mins (already downloaded) and only took about 30. YMMV 🤷🏻‍♂️

I only bought a Windows laptop and acquired the ability to do my own workshop updates because the last OTA update was taking too long.

After having the dealer update my XC60 from 3.5.14 to 3.6.4, the entire experience does feel a lot quicker to respond ('snappier'?) to input. Especially noticeable when bringing up the settings panel, and selecting a different drive mode.

The first day after the upgrade it seemed much slower, but that solved itself after a day or two.

I just had 3.6.4 installed yesterday at the dealer during a maintenance visit for my 2024 XC90 Recharge, finally getting the backup camera updates and apparently the braking one (they also put a dent in my fender and a long scrape down the entire passenger side, but I’ll save that story and the results of their promise to “make it right” for another day).

Today while driving the sound went completely out - even turn signals and other warning sounds were silent. I force rebooted the center console and sound came back.

They also still haven’t fixed the bug with the panoramic roof shade auto-close, and the bugs with HD2 channels in the radio plus uncommanded unmuting of front or rear speakers when using the sound settings that focus on front, rear or driver. I’m sure I’ll find more bugs…though at least I finally have ETA again in navigation…

I highly doubt the AAOS can be fixed without a complete hardware change or even a recall involving buy back of all AAOS cars sold in Norrh America produced from 2020-2025. They will have no choice as the national highway safety and transport canada mandates backup cameras on cars.

So, after 2 hours the app hanged at 100% so I decided to go in the car. Software update was done. Google security is now at April 2025. Aaos does not seem to be less responsive as some have stated. First time I started the car the engine turned on which for me is odd since I only drive electric and also there was an airbag notice. There was a slight problem with the LTE connection (!). But now that is solved.
There is now an icon showing where the fuel cap is.

Waze seems more reaponsive but other than that I have not noticed anything else.

Could you guys share any other new changes? Thank you!

Received 3.6.4 OTA just now. After 2 reboots all is well. First some warnings about airbags, locks and brakes. Now no warnings. Even Google maps is a bit faster (it was very slow before). Hope it stays at least or gets faster. Eta is back in the main cluster, fuelcap position icon. No other things I could see.

I had it done at the dealer.

Notice a minor bug fix. It used to be the case that, when you were driving by a school, the "children present" speedlimit would pop up with a blank white box where the "school" yellow sign should be. That's now fixed. Also, the settings menu lag is complete gone and the arrival times in the center console are back.

Otherwise, I haven't noticed much.

I've just had 3.6.4 installed by the dealer (3hr job) as part of the R10320 recall. I hope this fixes the persistent problem of "camera not available" on reverse. We noticed the sound going out (incl indicators) on a previous version, I just know now that a complete reset (15 second button push) resets this. I never expected this level of "workarounds" on a premium car.
