I can't give specifics, only personal evidence. I'm running Vogtlands on stock struts/shocks, FWD car with 235/45/17 tires and it looks like this:

If you cut your springs it will drastically reduce your ride quality but is by far the cheapest option. My springs were $350 CAD a year and a half ago, plus you'll need an alignment. If your car is FWD be prepared for -1.5 to -2.0 degrees of nonadjustable rear camber, with my stance I'm at -1.77 degrees. Noticeable but not horrible.

H&R lowering springs with Bilstein B8 shocks and struts (designed for lowering springs)

Supposedly 33mm lower in the front and and 28mm in the ear..

This is cut Springs, stock shocks/struts. Ride is no worse than before, despite what others will say. I know it's not the best solution, but for me it was a temporary solution to give me the stance I was after until I replaced suspension.
Think I went around an inch in the front, 1.5 in the rear, but when you set the height yourself the sky's the limit.

Anyone make the jump to coilovers? I got a set installed on my 745T and love them! Thinking about selling that car and ordering a set of BCs for my V70...I'm tired of dumping money at it that I don't have...

Get coilovers and love it to death lol my V70 has a set of BCs now. Best purchase for that car I've made. Ride quality is great and it's fresh suspension rather than building lowered struts and springs

If I remember correctly, the iPd springs have the lowest drop out of the lowering springs. H&R makes good quality springs as does Eibach. I would just check out the reviews for those companies and see which ones people seem to like the best.

Really like the stance of the picture in OP. Might be color and wheel combination too, those wheels look good on any car!

What I've found through past experience, lowered car looks fantastic standing still - with no passenger and things in the cargo area. But practically speaking once you put a passenger or two in the back, load up for an overnighter trip, put a Thule box on top or some bikes ... then the back end becomes way too low, bottoms out. Functionality is sacrificed.

Still, this is sexy as hell!

Really, interesting to know. I've always used lowering springs. Will def consider it if I want to go that route!

Canadian Moose, where did you get your set? I see one for the P2 AWD but not P2 FWD.

A lot of companies make that design so they come in all price ranges and shades (black, gunmetal, silver, etc).
Here is one from TSW, called Nurburgring, I guess those are 18's in the picture.
