4012/4222lb for the S90 in FWD/AWD format according to the consumer page. Volvo lists it as "total weight" but that must be curb weight since GVWR for my S60 is something like 4700lb.

In other news, 210lb to go from FWD to AWD? Seems like the premium has gone down relative to earlier generations. I could have sworn the AWD penalty on the 70 series was closer to 400lb.

How does this compare to the 2016 XC90? I'm wondering how much giddy-up the T6 will have in the S/V90?

 

The Haldex AWD unit does weigh less now than it used to, especially Gen V.

 

It was never 400 lbs
Went from about 250 with the VC to 180-200 with Haldex

I question the accuracy. Why would the T5 AWD, with no third row seat, be heavier than the T6 AWD.

Regardless, the S90 Spec Sheet is now available.

S90 T6 AWD is 0-100km/h in 5.8s
XC90 T6 AWD is 0-100km/h in 6.9s

The spec sheet also lists a 6-speed manual transmission, M66F, for the D4. This is not shown as the transmission on the Swedish builder as far as I can recall.

 

XC90 T6 AWD 0-100kmph is 6.5sec from Volvo.

If S90 AWD is 5.8s it beats XC90 T8. Then the S90 T8 could do low 5s and will be a very fast car for me.

After reading GoVolvo's post, I've done some research and Volvo has posted conflicting times for 0-100km/h for XC90.

The Tech Specs PDF shows 6.5s for the XC90 Excellence T6 AWD (4/14/15), but 6.9s for the XC90 T6 AWD (8/27/14).
The Tech Data webpage shows 6.5s for the T6 AWD.
Car and Driver timed the 3-row T6 AWD at 6.4s, so I'll go along with that.

Volvo's posted times for the T8 range from 5.6 to 5.9s.

 

6.5 secs is the official Volvo time for the XC90 T6

 

The acceleration figures for the diesel S90 are terrible compared to the competition, the gasoline is competitive.
