Those that have executive S80s with the refrigerator will find this familiar. If your S80 came with the fridge, you got a special armrest with a fancy holder in it for two of these Kosta Boda crystal glasses, along with a bottle opener. Both have the S80 executive crest laser-etched into them. The bottle opener is held into the armrest with a magnet, and the glasses fit in by pressure. I found a fridge and armrest on ebay for a good price, but it arrived with the glasses and bottle opener missing. They were surprisingly inexpensive from the Volvo dealership, and they are in stock here in the USA. I ordered them friday and had them this morning. The Glasses are about $40 each, and the bottle opener is about $15 once you take into account the discounts offered by the online parts stores.

Glass part number: 30790834
Bottle opener part number: 8694653

The entire assembly is available which includes the insert that goes into the armrest to hold everything. The part number for that is 31284071, and it costs about $250. I believe that includes both of the glasses and the tool along with the armrest insert. I would hope so at that price. Executive parts are very, very expensive, though. I assume because of their limited production. I was blown away by how inexpensive the glasses and bottle opener were.

The wiring is already in the trunk by the rear electronic module. You simply need to add a fuse which activates the wiring. The fridge kit will come with a harness that runs from the fridge, over to that wiring and plugs in. In my car, I'm already using the fridge wiring to power an infinity basslink. So, I'm going to have to come up with something different. Also, I got my fridge used and it didn't include the harness. The fridge just has a positive and ground hookup, so you ultimately only need to connect the positive to a switched positive source, and ground the ground wire. Simple hookup. I believe the fridge draws quite a bit of current, though.

$40 is overpriced for a small glass tumbler, even Kosta Boda.
If you actually visit Kosta Boda in Sweden, you can get stuff like that for $8. :)

For being a very limited production specialty executive item through volvo, it is, indeed very inexpensive. Parts which are exclusive to the executive models are outrageously priced. For example, the little dash clock is over $800, and it's just a cheap plastic 12v clock with a pretty face and 2 LEDs. The executive cup holder is over $450, where the normal one is only about $40. Based on this pricing, I wouldn't have been surprised if they were $100 each or more. I believe that whether or not it's "expensive" is a matter of personal opinion, and it's all in how you look at it. If the had the S80 glasses available for 8 bucks each, i'd fill the cabinets at my house and office with them!

I hate to always be "that guy" that asks if anything will fit a p2 but it looks as if the insert in the armrest to hold the glasses and opener looks like a perfect fit for my v70r seats. If not I always have my G.H Mumm expedition kit I bought wednesday in France at the Mumm champagne house lol.

Yes. This will definitely fit in a P2. In fact, the arm rest that I acquired for the insert is from a 2005 S80. All of the P2s use the same rear armrest design, so this should fit in any of them.

WoooHoooo! Thanks for that info, I will definitely be ordering this in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong but do the Kosta Boda boxes say personalized on the bottom? It looks like as if you could order glasses from them with any logo you provide (I'm guessing).

No. It says "Glass With Personality."

I finally took the time to install this in my car. The holder fit perfectly into the existing executive style center armrest, and just stays in with pressure. It took all of 10 seconds to install.

If you already have an executive, all you need is what you mentioned. ONLY the executive models have the proper armrest to accommodate this though.

You will need to install the different arm rest and pass-through cover. I'd love to purchase your fridge in exchange for the parts you need and some money.
