Thanks, had it done today! Now, did I get ripped off? The guy only had "aluminized stainless" and told me that would last longer than the car probably would and hardly anyone uses pure stainless steel exhaust. I paid $65.00 and they installed the Takspeed cable also, did a good job with the welding.

I think there was a whole thread on this recently. I'm thinking of doing this also. Did you notice a big difference? More importantly, if you were my wife and I didn't tell you I did it, would you notice?

I did this to my wife's car, but I told her about it before hand.

If I had tried to hide it, she would have noticed. It's loud the first 5 seconds it starts, especially in the garage. But she's already gotten used to it.

Well I just asked my wife if she noticed the difference and I got the "well, you never let me drive it enough to know what it sounded like before" line, so I might be of no help. I agree with JRL, it's my car, I'll do what I want to it as she has her own car, which I will also do what I want . (hopefully she won't read this) I can tell a small difference on hard acceleration but most people probably wouldn't notice it at all in my opinion.

There haven't been any stupid posts that have bugged me

for a while now and some of the small ones I'm letting roll off my back BUT.... but when someone needs to have their wife's permission to do a mod on their OWN CAR

My generation has an expression for that but I will keep my 100%
