Our annual exhaust sale is on now until March 31st. Don't miss you chance to get a great exhaust system at an unbelievable price! This year we come out with an improve design of our popular turbo down pipe which now has the factory mounting point for the heat shield!

Touring System - the touring system has 2 resonators to produce a nice deep sound which is slightly louder then stock

Sport System - the sport system replaces the front resonator with a 3" pipe which then splits into twin 2" pipes. The sport system is louder then our touring kit but still produces a nice deep tone that is not overly loud.

S60R/V70R Touring cat back exhaust kit on sale for $719

S60R/V70R Sport cat back exhaust kit on sale for $719

S60R/V70R Turbo down pipes on sale for $629

We thought about it but there are so many different bumper configurations between the S60R and V70R and different production years that it is hard to make a kit to fit a large range of applications.

Frank,

Awesome, love this time of year. Cool to hear that your DP was improved. With this piece-wise design you could also do a Y-pipe for an e-cutout ;)

A few questions:

Is your cat CARB certified for US California residents? If not, it looks like the DP is now clamped in -- would it be possible to order the kit without DP but with some flanges?

Any chance your sport pipes / touring resonators are on sale too?

Thanks!

Our cats are no CARB certified. See sell the sport pipes or touring resonator pipe at just above cost so unfortunately we cannot discount them.

I'm in! R owner since 20k miles and now I'm at 90k!

No "lambo" sound for me...a bit too loud ;)

Question for EST:
Your site shows stock engine for GT is 258 ft/lbs and 295 ft/lbs for MT (300HP bot both). And claim with EST DP + Cat + RICA + CAI to produce 368 hp and 368 ft/lbs. Is that the number for both MT and GT models?

I could've sworn the GT models can never produce as much power efficiently as the MT because of the torque converter, etc. and always have a hard time keeping pace with manuals (drivetrain losses are higher in GT). Please verify number gains for GT (vs. MT) :)
The torque liimiter does not come into play when the car is on the dyno so the engine hp and torque are the same.

Frank, thanks for answering my questions. Last one. Does your new DP have an extra bung + plug for a wideband AFR? I saw some pictures of the old design and it looked like there were 3 bungs total but I can't tell from the pictures of this new model if there are 2 or 3.

EST, could you finish our LED lights shipments? It's been a month. We've been patient.

Installed sport version.
In person sound is great!
Slightly obnoxious but not overly so

I was really hoping to hear one in person before the end of the sale, but I don't think it will happen, so I wanted tovask f ew questions to the gurus as this is not obvious to me.
In general ground clearance is not a huge issue, but I don't really want to loose any. I assume either this two pipe est or the oval ipd would retain approximately the same clearance. In general esthetics of the two seem on par as well.
What are the chances ipd runs a sale on their exhaust in may?
When I did one of these on my M3, a lot of people went with active autowerks, but it was a bit too obnoxious for me. I ended up with a borla which is very throaty and always audible, but never over the top. I really like the idea of no resonator, but is it too much. ( by the way there will be a dp)

If you aren't sure whether to get the sport (straight pipe, no res) or touring (res) EST exhaust, you should probably get the touring one. I originally got the sport setup and loved it but after a few weeks it was just a bit too loud for me when cruising on the highway (90% of my driving time). The touring setup is deep and sounds great but is basically stock when idling and at low revs and is much more civilized at highway cruising. I do still miss the sound of the straight pipe at WOT though. EST makes it easy to just order the straight pipe separately if you want to swap out the res later on!

#27 · (Edited)
The straight pipe is VERY nice (only day 1) - was behind a done-up Lotus Elise this evening, as we both made a left turn I could JUST barely hear his car over mine (his the high whine) and we had "pops" at the same time, his sounded more like a little pop, the pop and underlying rumble with the EST one made him turn around and wonder what the hell was following him. :)
In 6th on the highway, no drone, but as soon as you are one the throttle, you'll notice it. I like that sort of thing, but if you like a more sedate sound when not accelerating, like noeish recommends, go with the Touring.

I don't think there is enough demand to make a dual system. I peronsally would like one on my V70R but how many more people could buy a $1000+ quad tip system? We did carry a quad tip version from Heico a few years back and I think we only sold 1 and Heico stopped producing them as well.

That's right! The cat back system bolt up directly to the down pipe, no welding required

TTT. I ordered an EST DP and sound pipe for my catback last night. Thanks for the sale Frank!
Thanks for the order
