I’ve tried to look up in previous posts but im having a hard time getting correct advice lol.

I have a 2005 XC90 2.5T and im needing to send in my CEM and ECM to get fixed. Im in a tight crunch and need to remove my ECM as soon as possible, HOWEVER , i cannot source the proper tool for at least a month if not longer , therefore, is there a way to safely remove it without the tool?
Ive tried a thin flat head screw driver and managed to slide the purple clip on the one side just a tad , but cant seem to get either side to budge now.

You need to push both purple tabs at 'same time', so push one a little, then the second one, then again the first one. I used a tiny mini screwdriver, fits better, you can gently tap on it because those purple tabs do get stuck. I did remove the small fan, and both reservoirs to make place (undo the coolant level sensor underneath first). When you are pushing these to release, gently pull on the module upwards, but don't force. When putting the ECM module back, go the same way but press gently on the module downwards as the tabs slide. Also pay attention which way the modules go back, black one at the left and orientation wise, take a picture or look at the small tabs underneath, some are closer at one end. I'll upload a better video soon, this one didn't tell all the 'tricks'
