Can someone tell me how many IR headphones comes with dual RSE option? Also, can the IR headphone be use to listen to audio (CD and/or radio)?

You can purchase more wireless headset if you want...I don't know the cost. The number of wireless headset is only limited by the number of seats in the vehicle...You have the option of getting headsets with cords...they're cheaper, but a pain.
You also don't need headrest at all with the Volvo dual headrest RSE. It will play over the rear car speakers, while you listen to something else (cd, radio) up front.
I'll test it out later and tell you...I know you can plug in other stuff like playstations/video player etc and each headrest views something else...I would guess that you can plug in audio options if they have a "RCA" style plugs and then use the headrest. I'll test it on the cars audio system and let you know.

I checked it out...you cannot play the car radio or CD on the headsets...
you can play a cd in the RSE dvd player and listen to music on the headrests.

You can also listen to anything that you plug into the RCA jacks through the wireless headphones.
Same goes with playing what is connected to the RCA jacks through the rear speakers (not fronts though)

Thanks everyone.
Our XC90 finally arrived on 8 May and available for pick up from Matson on the 16th; however, the dealer decided to take their sweet time and did not pick up until today (the 19th). My wife left the island for a 30-day vacation (all travel arrangements made in advance) and I can pick up the vehicle until she gets back (both of our names are in). I told the dealer about our travel arrangement as soon as the SUV arrived on the island. Really upsetting
