LOL, I had the same problem. Super easy thing to remove. Here is the basic stuff you need to do:
-remove the door trim piece (aluminum, plastic, fake wood, etc). It basically pops out of it's spot.
-remove the 2 (or 3, can't remember right now) torx screws that hold the panel to the door, they are now visible because you remove the trim.
-now pop out the door panel by going around it with something that won't scratch the paint job or damage it. There are 7-8 clips/fasteners that you need to remove.
-carefully remove any of the electronic wiring and the handle cable if you can't get to the door pin issue without going further.

Hope this helps, I may have forgotten something but it gives you a good start. Doing the whole thing blindly would be much worse. I believe there is a write up that kind of covers this in the stickies for the forum, something about removing tint and EDIT: here it is...
