I've done some searching but can't seem to find much info comparing the two. Just looking for a basic hitch setup and not really interested in spending $1,000+ for the Volvo or hidden hitch solution.

Any owners out there wither either the Curt or the Draw-Tite on their 2016 XC90?

From what I can gather, the Curt sits below the bumper, no trimming to the rear bumper but appears to hang quite low.

It looks like the Draw-Tite solution mounts higher but may require bumper trimming - any comments on either?

Here's a link to the two in reference:

There's a link to installation instructions but it came up blank. Looks like for the Draw-Tite you will need to trim the bumper cover. Hopefully it's the underneath portion. Nice thing about these is you keep the bumper, unlike the Invisihitch solution. However, the receiver sits *really* low, maybe under 12", so you may need a riser attachment. I don't see how both designs can claim a 900lb tongue weight. The Invisihitch is 600lbs, and my massive bmw hitch is only 600lb rated.

The lack of info on the Draw-Tite concerns me and I really dont want to start cutting into the bumper if I dont have to - the occasional tow here points me in the direction of the Curt. A riser ball is likely necessary, I concur.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
