Confused About WHICH Map Update Application To Download

I have a 2013 S60 RD, and got the software update to allow me to update the maps using USB thumb drive. Searching for "volvo map updates", I've gotten to various Volvo websites that have links to download the updater for North America for Mac computers--but depending on the exact site, I've gotten three versions of the application: RTI, MCA, SPA...

Pretty sure that I need to use the MCA version? But, how would I know? Also, on all three versions, if I click on the Support link, it takes me to some International site that doesn't have USA listed...so, is there some special place to go to get a USA version of the application for my year and model car?

Thanks.

I am surprised that their last update version is April 2018 (typo?) since they realeased one in Ocotber 2018 for sure

Problem is...that link takes you to the RTI map update. You can search for Volvo map update, and various hits will take you to different links for the download software (for either Windows or Mac), with the downloaded map update being different versions and dates from each other. It's also not explained if the download application will remain the same, but, will always download the latest map update, or do you have to download an updated download application every time a map is updated?

When I search for Volvo RTI, what it shows is NOT what I have: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...rl=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ijnLrrNhvo&usg=AOvVaw0kh9_lfVRt-EwdvAPGlOyk .

Another Volvo site shows what seems to be four different systems. What I have in my 2013 S60 RD is the third picture, top row, but when you click on that, it doesn't take you to any North America Maps... https://www.volvocars.com/mt/support/downloads/maps .

I have a 2012 T6. The link I posted is the application you use. I've done it now twice through that link and the downloaded application, both in 2017 and with the listed 2018 update.

If you go onto the Volvo U.S. site and search for map updates, not using Google, you get to this page: http://volvo.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9156/~/download-the-latest-maps
Which then links to the page I posted in the links below for 2011-2015 Volvos.

To further ease your mind about this, the car will not install software it either 1) doesn't understand and 2) is not the latest version.

Also, another thread about map updates:

2018 map update for 2011-2015 cars.. https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?t=560106

Same download link. ?

OK, I followed all the above and downloaded the updater application to my Mac (what downloaded was the RTI version). I then ran the updater to download the latest map, and what downloaded was placed into a folder named Sensus Update SPA (North America), and at the root of that folder is a version.txt file with "COMMENT=2018 ver.1;" as the only line in it. I had thought I should be getting a ver 2 or even ver 3 of 2018?

Download it onto a thumb drive and plug it in to your USB port in the console. Don’t bother trying to decipher the file names. Let it run. It will know what to do. If it doesn’t take, good news, you’re already up to date.

I just updated my maps using this file and process yesterday. Easy.

There is only one 2018. There is no 2019 (yet). I pointed out in an above post that the Sensus Connect gets multiple updates a year, and not Sensus.

Someone in the UK had been told by Volvo that these older systems would only get map updates once every 2 years or so. That was for UK/Europe, not North America, but in the past their experience seems to be similar to ours. If this holds, then April 2020 thereabouts is when might expect updated maps.
