May be you got a pinch wire some were bad light socket don't for get lights in the door could be where it goes from the door to the body every time the door opens the wire bends back and forth in that rubber tube jest trying to help

 

In my 04 manual # 15 runs courtesy lights door open warning lights,trunk,seat belt reminder glove box light,power window so it may be in the power windows that fuse covers a lot

 

Thanks for your suggestions. It's the #15 fuse that keeps blowing. It sparks and blows the minute I try to insert a replacement fuse. Any way to turn off the chime in the mean time? How easy is it to remove the door?

 

I had a similar issue, and was able to trace it to my GPS unit tied to my cigarette lighter plug. If you have anything plugged into your cigarette socket, remove it and see what happens.

 

I had the same problem in a '99 coupe -- constant chiming and no interior or trunk light. I removed the chime from under the dash after going through a box of 10 amp fuses. One day the key wouldn't turn and when I replaced the ignition switch the lights came back.
