when looking at Volvos european websites , you'll notice that some of the same wheels are offered for both the C30 and s40/v50s so , I'd say it's safe to say that these cars can interchange wheels w/o problems .

The C30 wheels should fit the S40 with no problems. Have you considered the Medusa wheels in 18? They are fairly cheap for an 18" Genuine Volvo wheel at a special price of $144.99!

Thanks, George. I've considered the Medusas, but I'm not in love with the look. There's something about the Atreus wheels that I just can't stop looking at. They remind me of the Cassiopeias.

Assuming I can get them, would it be a good idea to lower at the same time? I'm a bit worried that the ride will get too harsh for daily driving. I currently have the sport suspension that came with the car (FWD), so perhaps it wouldn't make too big of a difference...

They weigh 11.8kg or 26lbs each (Volvo specs).

 

Thanks man... do you happen to know the weight of the stock 16 x 6.5 wheels...the ones that come on the Stock Front wheel drive T5's...the cursas!!

That wheel weighs in at 8.9kg / 19.6lbs (per Volvo spec). I'd argue the extra weight from the 18" Medusa is well worth the upgrade!

I think those are the diamond-cut Zaurak wheels you are pointing out, but thanks all the same.

 

The wheels for the C30 will fit the S40/V50, and many of the options for either car are the same. Wheels that they share include: Medea, Medusa, Sagitta, Sculptor, Cygnus, Clava, Stylla, etc...
