Hello Guys,

I have a 2008 XC90 3.2 AWD.

I need to replace my factory Brake Pads and Rotors. I am not looking for any racing thing. Just want something that brake same or better than the factory setting.

Also I don't want to have squealing noise brakes

I was checking BOSCH QUIETCAST and ATE.

Any one of you have experience with these brands? Any advise?

Thx

Isaac

The Bosch (in the US, owned by Akebono) Quietcast rotors are great. The pads are awfully dusty. I'd do the Akebono Euroceramics.

I have Akebono on all four of the XC90 with Centric premium rotors, Textar on the rear and original on the front of the S80 with original rotors, and stop tech street/track on the 128i with lipped factory rotors.

The stop tech are street even though they say track. I will get a more aggressive pad next season. the textars work just fine on the S80 and are what non M BMWs leave the factory with. They are also the least expensive. The Akebonos are sloppy the first few times you step on the brakes in the morning then are fine. No dust, no lipping on the rotor.

TMD owns Pagid and Textar, Centric owns Stop Tech, Monroe is part of Tenneco, Bilstein is part of Thyssen Krupp, ATE is part of Continental, Its getting to be like battery manufacturers.

As for the rotors, that topic was beaten to death a few years ago.

I used original Volvo disks and pads for 6 years but its crap. Yes. Changed over 6 pairs and
squeeking, squeeling, warp ect was terrible. Now I placed 2 years ago ATE disks and pads
336 mm and never in 40.000 km one single Sound or warp. Pads are still on half meat.
Never again original Indian bad quality made for Volvo.

See difference.
Here is data for order and its cheaper than Volvo. I didnt purchased this bcs. of price or cheaper
this is for stingy guys who need to drive bicycle and not xc90. hahaha Yes I hate to see wherever
they think to save 1 $ please...car need regular and extra regular maintenance like woman. :)

If you dont care about someone else will be sure soon or later. :)
Look 22.000 km original Volvo disks. Crazy...

Branke cilynders, all bushings, arms, ect ect.
This is crazy mechanic young boy placed smaller disks and bigger pads. My car have original 336 mm disks not smaller. LOL

This is best disks I used in 10 years in my xc90 2.5t 2006 VOR model AWD AUT.
