Check this old thread about the same question being asked, i simply typed vida/dice on MacBook pro in google and came up with lots of informations.
You cannot run vida/dice directly on the MacBook firmware, you need to host windows 7 pro or XP pro tru a virtualization program like VMware in order to make vida run.
The best is to buy an old laptop and install windows 7 pro/ultimate or windows XP on it and use it only when you need to scan the car.
What year MacBook Pro? I have an older one, I think it's 2012, I use VirtualBox and XP Pro as a virtual machine. I hear some of the newer models don't have USB support for VirtualBox, but mine works like a charm.
I'm running parallels on my macbook, I've managed to install, but don't have the hardware yet (longest 10 days of my life...). I'll let you know if I have any struggles.
I just leave my sh*tty VIDA laptop in my shop and it gets beat around and falls off my lap as I'm code reading. Rather not use my MacBook Air for that.
