+1 over the 2 days.

And I dont wanna hear any crap about 29!!! I'm 48 and did with no help. Ended up wioth a lot of bruises on the forearms though. The bumper trimming was the toughest part for me any my arthritic hands

 

Unfortunately I did not have a garage to get it done in, took it to a shop, did a good job. Minus my sensor issue and it took them about 7 hours with BBQ'n in between.

My indy billed me for eight hours and didn't evacuate the A/C.

Glad to hear most people are in the 6-9 hour range on your DIY/Pro/Indy install. I guess all my hard work did paid off after all, cheers to you all

I remember vaguely reading a post you had about installation, but I just followed the Bell instructions on their website. Since I can have the A/C evac'd and refilled for nothing, I couldn't see killing myself.

I did remove the fans when installing the new piping to fit the air ratchet to the clamps. There's nothing like holding it with one hand and using the air ratchet to tighten.

JRL is right, I thought it was going very quickly, and the 3" cutting wheel on the air-powered rotary tool made quick work of all the cutting. I found fitting the horns to be the most frustrating, and I was getting so pissed I was going to weld a tack onto the nut to hold it in place. As I was dragging the welder over my friend showed up and somehow made it work.

We followed Will's method of removing the radiator - needed to change the fluid anyway. My indy and I worked together on it and finished in just under 6 hours. The alternate method saved me several hundred $$. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Now I understand the Will "Mighty Q" Method--and in retrospect, I think it would have been easier to remove the radiator and not the condensor. I wonder why they wrote the instructions that way?

Thanks to all who posted--now I can better justify the initial purchase price to my wife by "saving" on the installation charge
