I had a crack in the windshield that was too large to be fixed, so the windshield needed to be replaced. I asked for a Volvo windshield replacement, but when I picked up my XC40, it was an after market windshield. It was Friday at 4:45 when I picked up my car and the body shop was closing at 5:00, so I took the car but said I will look into the issue.
How important is it to have an actual Volvo windshield? I know that they have to calibrate the windshield, so does it communicate somehow with the computer system? Would an after market windshield negatively affect the resale value?
Thanks.
