I know chip tuning will void the warranty but how about the RAM AIR you have found? Will the Ram Air affect the warranty? Thoughts?

You can check a whole bunch of accessories (some might just be cheap).i have ordered some and will post some photos once they arrive and installed. For me it was a must to cover some cheap Matt plastics on the doors, so got the carbon fibre door trim.

I'm also curious about that one .... XC40 is top heavy so i'm not sure if the difference will be significant enough.

But its one of the easiest upgrades to do.

 

There can be some debate as to whether the added weight of the panoramic roof and motor mechanism might also add to it being top heavy. Saab used to state that body roll helped you feel when the car was going to lose traction (at least that is what they used to explain or defend why Saabs' had excessive body roll).

 

I had a stock '96 Saab 9000 Aero and at speed, that thing used to corner like a cat on velcro, but those 900 and 9000's were sport sedans and the Volvo XC series are SUV's. Different animals.

 

My Saab 900 SET was worse than my 9-5 Aero. My favorite Saab weirdness was the black out (the unnecessary dash lights) button. I did not notice a roll problem on Norwegian fjord mountain roads such as the Trollstigen, with 19" wheels and no panoramic roof. When the XC40 arrives this week, it will probably never see such roads again in its lifetime.

 

Someone posted the 76kg weight of the XC60's panoramic roof weight. Close to 176 pounds on the roof of an XC40 does not help cornering.

 

2019 R-sesign had the sunroof as an option. I wish it would have stayed that way. After all, the R-design is supposed to be the performance trim.

 

Has anyone here purchased a uhaul tow hitch? I want to get one because I'd like a bike rack and I don't trust the ones that rest on the glass. I also don't feel like spending $1,000 at the dealer. I love to hear any feedback.

 

I didn't like my rack sitting on the back window so I picked up a tow hitch from etrailer.com and installed it myself. Easiest install I have EVER done! I was a little bit apprehensive to remove the entire rear bumper, but it was super easy.
