XC90 Inscription T6, 20" wheels, 2290 miles, had it for 1.9 months.

Driving today on the interstate, adaptive cruise control would not engage, says "Unavailable." What's up with that?

The manual says it's in standby mode. Not sure what that means.

Same result with ACC/Pilot Assist.

I'm guessing it's a software problem and will go away when I engage it tomorrow. I hope.

I have 10K miles on mine, always most recent updates. PA not turning on could have been the lines on the road were crap, too much snow, too much sunlight, you speed was too low, etc. I can literally replicate every condition, because I use PA for most of my 1 hour each way drive to work. This is not Tesla, PA is not auto pilot, Volvo has a lot of lawyers and they know customers sue.

Adaptive Cruise control "Unavailable"

Have you checked your settings on the left functions page on Sensus to verify that ACC is the default and not CC?

Adaptive Cruise control "Unavailable"

Not with ACC or PA2. I will try to locate some info as my MY16 with PA2 Upgrade does not require a lead vehicle - only highway markings and decent weather. That has been the case for 1.5-2 years now. I will try to distinguish between ACC alone and ACC with PA active once I find some useful info.

ACC vs. ACC with PA. Now that's something I've never been able to figure out. I'd be glad to hear what you find.

That is how it started with my 2015 V60R.
Sporadically it would say "Adaptive Cruise Control Unavailable" until it stopped working all together and it's telling me to take it in for service.

Has anyone else experienced this?
I have the same problem on my 2014 V60 Plug-In Hybrid. The ACC works for about 5 kilometers and after that it turns off and the "Adaptive Cruise Control Unavailable" message is displayed. Went to the dealer and they said it's caused by communication problems between the TFT instrument cluster and the ACC. They are asking more than $1100 for new cluster, but this seems strange to me. I would totally search for another opinion on this, because the cluster seems fine and the ACC works for the first few kilometers on every new trip.

Just FYI for anyone scouring Google for answers on this like I did before - a power disconnect/reboot wasn't going to work for me, as I have a T8. Turned out my issue was the parking brake wiring was damaged. Repairing the wires resolved the issue. Cruise, adaptive cruise, and the parking brake were all not functioning.

Dealer stated often times when one sensor/system malfunctions it disables other systems that may use it as a precaution.
