I have the BCM-0070 fault code - a dead abs pump. Now the pump sits on an block of alu, with the pump installed with two torx scre.

Can I remove those two screws only and swap the dead pump with a new working one?

I'm not sure if you can get a new motor separate from the whole module.

But yes you can swap the motor. There are a few of us that have done the swap with motors sourced from salvage yards.

Just removing it and giving it a good cleaning may give it some more life.

i have the same issue. going to undertake this adventure over the weekend (assuming the part arriving today is the correct replacement). i'll report back.

Just buy a used, complete pump.
Not too expensive as they rarely fail and have very low demand

i was able to swap it out. took about an hour. the motor is isolated from the fluid, so no bleeding necessary. i had to remove the air box and then the abs assembly is held to the bracket by 3 screws. remove them and the motor is held by 2 screws if i remember correctly. there is a ball bearing on the motor shaft that will come off with the motor. then there is a needle bearing in the manifold that accepts the eccentric motor shaft. wiggle and pull up on the motor slowly, you don't want this bearing to come out.
