Trying to find a write up or video for removing the A pillar so I can run wire for a dash cam. Pretty sure there’s an airbag there so I don’t want to just start prying. Thanks

Depending on the options on your car I believe there's also power in the the rear view mirror assembly. I have a dash cam (this one) that's entirely integrated into that assembly and looks stock but it requires the rain sensor option... I assume that was the option that provides the necessary power connection.
Although the vendor states that camera uses the rain sensor power it actually uses the mirror connection which provides power for the compass and auto-dim.
the a-pillar trim can be removed by first prying off the little plastic airbag cover, undoing the screw underneath and then prying off the whole cover. It’s not excessively over-cautious to disconnect the battery and wait 10-15 minutes before starting. Make sure your wiring goes behind anywhere an inflating airbag would need to go.
Take off the Cap (use a plastic tool or something to gently open) that says IC-AirBag. Then unscrew the bolt found under the cap. A-Pillar now pulls off.
What kind of dashcam are you looking into purchasing?
Thanks, I ordered a garmin mini 2 and a garmin constant power cable. It plugs into my obd-II port, it will record when it sees motion until the battery runs down to 12v when off. Also ordered a 1000 amp noco boost plus jump starter , just incase it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to lol
