3.7 OTA Update

My 2024 S60 T8 received the 3.7 OTA Software Update 2 days ago and I lost the split screen 360 degree overview when I go into reverse. I only have the tail end camera view and a blank screen in the Split View. It like it wants to be there but the 360 down look isn’t coming up.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Just did the 3.7 update. I noticed that the split screen was there yet the 360 cameras weren't on. But the system seems to take a long time to boot after an update so maybe they will work. If not I am okay with that. I had the 3.6.4 recall update done about a month ago. Since then the seat memory buttons seemed to randomly not work with the car off. I am hoping that is resolved with the 3.7 update. Time reveals all

Yes the split screen seems to be gone. Also noticing incredibly laggy controls on map, especially when starting the car. I put in a destination and it takes a long time to display the route on the map both in the center and driver display. And very laggy to do other things.

Overall seems like a step backwards …

I've seen a few people mention their dealers have told them it was intentionally removed because of the ongoing camera problems. Volvo had the official recall software a while ago that didn't fix many of the "camera not available" issues, so my guess is the feds are involved (or trying to prevent them from being involved) and they're pulling it until they can figure out what's going on.

Ugh, dam !!! I really liked having the split screen, sadly it was only for 6 months if that.
All that said and done…. The external speaker went into failure today strangely. Infotainment says to take it in for service. I’m going to hold off on that. I don’t want to take my TDI tuner harness out again already. I thought I’d get a year at least before needing to take it back to the dealership again.

Yes, loss of dual view and also drastically increased lag in the user interface post 3.7 OTA installation. Also, less sensitive to taps on screen. In the past when using driver assist and car stopped I had to hit the accelerator to get the car moving once the car in front of me started forward. Now the car wakes itself up without my needing to intervene. That's a good thing. But as has been the case with Volvo software for years a new problem has been introduced. When using driver assist the car now waits too long to brake if traffic slows in front of it and breaks fairly forcefully, throwing me back against my driver's seat. I can no longer use driver assist in traffic due to this. What a POS. I am so glad I leased this car (2024 S60 T8) instead of buying it outright.

2024 XC60 also lost the dual camera view that its still split screen with just the car up top where there was 360 but no camera images. More concerning, my orange oil light has been on since the upgrade. The app has all green checks in the maintenance section for everything including oil. I have driven 3x for a total of ~50 miles and the light has not turned off. The car has 8.5k miles, just had maintenance a month ago and is driving fine if not better than prior to the update.

I guess I never thought about the possibility of more OTA updates across the pond than over here but that makes sense. I’ve only had ours for 10 months now and yeah, only got the one OTA to 3.3.16. I had to take it in to get the 3.5.24 I think it was.

As far as the quality control goes and these glitches, Volvos know for these minor but sometimes aggravating software hiccups. We should be glad. We could have been venting about the whole >> driving in B mode + going downhill with the brake assist enabled + for more than 90 seconds = complete loss of brakes.

Lucky for me that is an impossibility living in Flat ole Florida 😂

Does anyone know how to force a redownload of the OTA update?
I haven't installed yet, the ready-to-install notification has been there for a week but didn't want to lose PIP.

I want to make sure the right version gets installed after today's supposed fix.
I think the only way to reset the OTA would be with VIDA (at which point you would just do a manual wired install anyway).

That is something I was thinking about though. People who've been pushing off the OTA may still have the messed up one downloaded. Not sure exactly how it works.

I did the update Wednesday on my 2023 V60P. Like others have said the one thing that stands out to me is that everything seems laggy, slow response to any touch on the main screen. I have a 30k service scheduled right after Labor Day and will mention it to the Service Advisor not expecting much. It’s interesting that, with all the Volvos on the road here in New England, I have yet to find a dealership that services my car that I like. I’ve tried 4 dealerships and none of them are very good.YMMV

I had 3.7 done in the workshop last week. 2025 V60PE.
Since then:
-Lost PIP 360 camera view
-Interior lights have a 5 second delay to come on when you open the door(s)
-Door buttons (seat memory, door handle backlight, etc) don't work after opening/closing the door to get in. If I open the door again then close it it again they come on and work.

Car goes back on Sept 8th to the dealer tolook at these items.
Looks like Volvo released a patch for the 360 camera yesterday. We will see on the other stuff.
