Hi all. New here. Wonder if anyone else has experienced what I did yesterday on my brand new (less than 400 miles odometer) 2025 xc60 t8. Haven’t sent anything about it happening on 2025s yet. I got into my car after running an errand and I got the (new to me but long dreaded around here) propulsion system failure warning, along with the speed reduction warning (I wasn’t moving - one of the messages was “reduce your speed”), along with a TPMS failure error. The backlight of the instrument panel itself was occasionally having flickering issues. Restricted to 27mph.
Limping the car to the dealer in downtown traffic at rush hour was a bit harrowing.
The previous night, I didn’t get a notification, but I realized it had stopped charging. Plugged directly into an outlet, no extension, no issues with power previously.
Just before I pulled into the dealer service drive, a block or two away, the car started shuddering like mad as I crossed a busy street. I made it, but… I’ve never felt a vehicle shudder that hard. Got the final 2 blocks into the dealer. The instrument panel flickered brighter/dimmer several times in the 15 minute limp drive. Had a strong smell of hot but not quite burning components, not the brakes (27mph limit).
Anyone else had similar issues with a 2025?
