Seems like this article is showing the CarPlay improvements that just came with the 2.10 update. So, more like 2023 CarPlay than 2024

It's great to have options. But personally, I prefer the AAOS Google Maps guidance. I find the interface cleaner and more informative.

Edit: correction, it actually came with AAOS 2.9, not 2.10.

 

I don t think i have carplay in both screens. Do i? I'm on 2.10. I can say for sure that waze is not on both screens. Only google maps since the beginning.

pretty sure it only works with apple carplay while using apple maps

 

I have checked this morning. Apple maps is on both screens once you set a destination. I don't use carplay that much but it feels very responsive. There's no lag at all...

 

When will Sensus get full screen CarPlay

I really can't imagine any new feature coming to Sensus; it's just a legacy system.

There seems to be some contradiction between what people have written in this thread and what's in this article. The article suggests that you can use the Google OS in the infotainment screen while Apple Maps is playing in the instrument panel, but CarPlay has to be working (iPhone plugged into the one active USB port). Can the CarPlay screen in the infotainment screen really be turned off if Apple Maps is running in the instrument screen behind the steering wheel?
