I noticed my 2019 s60 was making a high pitch wind whistle noise from the passenger area when driving 75mph or faster. Can't tell if it's the door, air vent or what. I took it into Volvo and they claimed they didn't hear it when they drove the car but Im guessing they didn't want to fix it or they didn't drive fast enough to hear it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the issue is or how to fix?

I also have a wind noise coming from the driver side, I reckon its coming from around the B - pillar. It’s like the window is slightly open and the sound increases with speed. I have had the dealer drive the car who claim it’s absolutely normal. I am not so sure and will escalate the issue on my next visit to dealer.

Thats definitely assembly defect. I test drove 5 cars before purchasing one and 2 of them had the exact noise you guys are complaining about. The worst part is you can't test drive the brand new car you intend to buy. So had to pray hard hoping that mine would turn out fine and so it did. 😅 And I dont believe they will be able to fix this issue easily as it might end up with more noise/leak.

Thanks for the helpful replies. Still no help from the dealership on the 2nd time going. They claim not to hear it and when I ask them to take a drive with me to point it out they say they are too busy. I'm trying to make time to reschedule to take a drive with the technician but haven't been able too. Thanks for the report attachment. I'll definitely use it to try and identify the source.

Mine has gotten pretty bad as well.
It’s so bad I find myself checking the windows to make sure they are up.

Maybe some time with a wax pencil around where the door should seal will help identify the problem.

Just bought my S60 and noticed this exact issue, will likely schedule a time to take the car into the dealer and present the tsb. I swear it hasn't been that windy and yet the noise seamed excessive and the whistling is audible even at lower speeds 35-45mph.

Thanks so much Katin for posting this tech journal. When I was getting routine maintenance and an inspection at the dealership I gave it one last shot to get the wind noise corrected. After taking it in 2x before (one visit at another Volvo dealership) each time the dealership denied even hearing the wind noise but 3rd time was the charm. I showed them the tech journal and finally got a mechanic that agreed they heard the wind noise too and they were able to fix it. For me, the trim was the culprit. I recommend others with wind noise issues use the tech journal too. Thanks Katin.
