Hello. Volvo tell me the UK model (which I have) and EU models have the same lights. Trying to pass a French CT and it's failing for the lights. Is there something in set up or settings that I am missing that would adjust correctly for driving on the other side of the road? Thank you.

UK low beams are designed for LHT (left-hand traffic), which is commonly called RHD (right-hand drive); while low beams in most continental Europe are designed for RHT / LHD. In projector-based headlights, vehicles having a "tourist mode" can alter the shield that unblocks extra light for the half in the same direction of travel (e.g. more light above the hotspot to the right for RHT, left for LHT).

I found this description to change the settings from Volvo UK that confirms the existence of such tourist mode: Adapting the beam pattern from the headlamps | Car functions | Support and legal articles | Volvo Support

However, it says that the information is only valid for the following model / MY combinations:
  • XC90 and XC90 Twin Engine of model year 2016 onwards
  • S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country of model year 2017 onwards
  • S60, S60 Twin Engine and V60 of model year 2019 onwards
It seems odd that all SPA *90 (s, v, xc) are covered, but SPA xc60 is the exception to the SPA *60 series there.

Yeah it's odd, isn't it. I found that too. I will see what Volvo say ...
