How do I reset the maintenance reminder?

I tried following some procedures that I saw on some of the other sub forums on here but It remains.

Basically it's saying my vehicle should be serviced in 1 month but I still have almost 10,000 kms to go before the first service interval.

On a side note I apparently cannot spell Maintenance....

I called the dealer and over the phone he told me how to do it. I can not remember exactly, but it involves turning the key to the first stop, then pressing the message button ---. Sorry, I can not remember the exact sequence. Good luck.

Service Reminder Reset *Sticky*
To reset the service reminder, do the following:
1. Push the key fob all the way into the dash slot (until it clicks)
2. With your foot off of the brake, tap the engine start button - this should light up a portion of the gauges.
3. Push down the trip mileage counter reset button (a nub to the right of the RPM gauge)
4. Still holding down the trip mileage counter reset button, and with your foot off of the brake, push the engine start button for about 2 seconds until all of the informational lights (i.e. check engine, etc) light up. Once they light up, you can stop pushing the engine start button (but continue to hold down the trip mileage counter reset button).
5. After a couple more seconds of holding down the trip mileage counter reset button, you will note that the "i" (the alert that there is a vehicle message) will begin to blink. This is your cue to release the trip mileage counter reset button. You must do this before the "i" stops blinking, or it will not reset.
6. Restart the car to confirm that you have successfully reset the "book time for maintenance" message.

Before you reset the light, you should know you probably ARE due for service. The light is set to go off at 1 year or a certain mileage. Your car may have been produced about a year ago, which means you need an oil change. This happened to us. We needed an oil change at 5,000 miles because the car was 1 year old.

Yeah booked in for mid-month.. it was just annoying me that it started showing up almost 1 1/2 months from the time it was due. I guess better then 1 week before.

By "having to push a button" I assume you mean the button on the end of the stalk that temporally erases the messages. Of course it just comes back and if you continue to temporally erase the message, when the message is flashed for real, you will not realize that and miss the intention of it. Oh well, it is your car.
