Interior lights stay on and the doors wont lock. They go down with the button but pop right back up. Checked the wiring in the door and its all fine. I read that theres a microswitch in the actuator that tells the door if its open or closed. Before I spend $250 on an actuator can someone tell me what wires on the actuator control the locking and interior lights. I was going to jump them together for now so I am able to lock the car. Just wont have interior lights when the drivers door is open. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, can't help with the original question as my solution to the same condition as you describe was a new actuator, replaced under warranty.

Your microswitch theory is worth pursuing, but only if an open door responds to a pressed lock button by actually locking and unlocking (as opposed to simply not responding). I feel like it's the latter, but I can't check right now as my wife has the S80.

Good luck with it..

I had the EXACT same problem on my 2009 Volvo s80 3.2 It turned out it was the wire that had broke that travels between the body of the car and the door.
This is so because SOMEONE at VOLVO Decided it would be a good idea to to attach a zip-tie around the wiring harness right where it flexes this in return,
Causes the insulation around the wire to wear down eventually wearing its way through the wire causing the circuit to be compromised.

My Repair:
I ended up removing the door this was really just for ease of access to the harness.
I ended up putting a simple wire crimp between the two broken wires putting tape around the crimp and that's it.
(you most likely could solder in a wire to bring the two together.)
I put the door back on.
And verified my repair.

and I have a new used latch in the door that i didn't need, Not part of the repair lol..

Hope this helps - Sam :)

I had the same issue dome light and center lock wasnt working. I tried all the solution including cem service. Program reset but all those solutions didnt worked for me. I had the issue for 7 months.

Then i found the exact issue location by mistake. I had to replace my boot . Then suddenly everything worked perfectly. So the issue is from the boot lid sensor.

Thank you members i got so many solutions from this threads. And this is a chace to serve you back.

fixed it. I had the same issue for long time. I tried all the treads about this fault but there wasnt any solution or fix . But then I had to replace the boot. Then it fixed the issue the dome light not poering center lock not workingand doorlight keep on. But then some how i replaced the player. While doing that problem came back then i noticed exact issue is with the a/c control panel socket. Then i removed and plugged it several times. It fixed the issue. Solution 1 check a/c control panel sockets below the player. Solution 2 check the boot lid sensor . Thank you all. Love from . Sri Lanka.
