We don't have a dynograph as of yet. The ECU has to be shipped to RICA as it does for most 2009+ vehicles that are locked by pin, and understandably many are put off by not having a driveable car for 1-2 weeks.

We have the do88 upgraded intercoolers for these cars in stock now:
http://www.do88.se/en/artiklar/volvo-s60-v60-performance-intercooler.html

Should have them on our site in the next couple of weeks. They are $665 USD
/ $898 CDN.

Cheers,

Humza
Why do people keep saying they have do88 or other intercoolers for P*, when they clearly do not fit the P* because of the radar?!? Didn't we just go through this with do88 themselves 3 days ago.

yea this is getting frustrating... the price seems reasonable for an upgraded good quality intercooler... i wonder how they will design one that will work for the P* with radar...

S60 Polestar 2015 (black) tuning - looking for stage 2 or 3

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade the performance of my new car. I would like to get above 400hp and need some advice. I'm looking to get a few modifications to the car:
--> Chip tuning: RICA or HEICO; both claim 30hp more but don't offer a stage 2 of the program (can I put it back to factory programming for dealer services).
--> Downpipe
--> RAM air filter box
--> Intake piping
--> Silicone hoses
--> Intercooler (whick one to get not to have any problems with factory sensors).

Thank you very much

Those updates would get you close to 400hp i think. The do88 intercooler fits a Polestar. Sold by Viva Performance.

Do we have anyone who has actually fitted it to a P* and got any proven results as in how it drives not just dyno numbers?

I remember seeing a thread one was fitted but the owner was experiencing power delivery issues.

i want to read/hear about one on the 3.0 - cant find anything

ah yes I remember that vid ^ - still would like a few more reviews and more understanding on what you can/cant do with Rica...

They send out a soft tuner with the software on it, no need to send out the ECU.
NIce! I was on their site before I posted, and how I read it was first you need to send out your ECU to get unlocked, then going forward the softloader can be used. When do you expect to get it installed? Do they do any "custom" programing? (IC, downpipe.. check engine light from said downpipe :unsure:)

great questions and I have the same - all hopefully answered soon by this guy and his youtube channel covering his 3.0 polestar - he has a downpipe and now the rica tune and just dynod the car etc and will have a video out on it soon

Ok.. I heard back from Rica, and here is the response to my questions:

1. Do I need to send in the ECU for cracking, or is the soft loader all I need to reprogram the ECU?

You can send us you ECU for unlocking, but you can also order our VEA unlocker : VEA – Rica Dealer Helpdesk
With the VEA unlocker tool you can crack it yourself.

2. I have a downpipe installed (TME with race cat) and an intercooler. Are there different program options for cars with these modifications?

We have a stage 2 available for these modifications, the O2 sensor will also be deleted in this tune.

this all sounds like great stuff! Ill let odiespankers continue to be the guineapig and then ill proceed with this as well.

Currently trying to sort out some issues. Rica tune does need all that additional work and vea cable to unlock the ECU. I also attempted to install the necessary driver from a windows computer (had to buy as i use mac) onto the softloader, turns out windows 11 isn't compatible.. i'm starting to get a little frustrated here and may send the whole unit back. Eurosport tuning thought this was plug and play..

Not what I was wanting to hear!... hopefully you can get it sorted out.
