Warning: Fake rankmark emblems are now on ebay.
I recently started buying the necessary badges to switch to the new badging scheme with the "rankmark" tabs following the engine code.
I didn't think there would be enough of a market for it, but the damn things are getting faked already.
A few sellers on eBay are selling the "RDesign" "Inscription" and "Polestar" slash style badges, and they're both fake and about as expensive as the real thing.
In particular the "R" in the RDesign badge should be blue with a ring of silver, not just a plain blue. The polestar color appears to be off as well.

I just wanted to give a heads up in case anybody else is thinking of buying these things.
If you're looking for the real thing, here are the proper Volvo part numbers:
R-Design: 31391873
AWD: 31391835
Polestar kit: 8640138
(Interestingly enough, you can also get the crown rankmark for the excellence model already)

Look up ebay item# 152433818249, or search for "Polestar Kit". Currently there is one being bid on that's up to $55 + shipping, and one for $8.50 + $10 shipping Buy it now. The $8.50 one is being sold by Keystone Volvo and I can confirm that it is a genuine volvo polestar kit with the keychain and the badge.![Image]()

What's up with the Inscription logo? Does Volvo have two different styles? Looks nothing like the one on our S60. Maybe just a bad photo / color way off? If their counterfeit is really beige / coffee colored, they didn't even try.

A good sign of a fake "leaning" Polestar badge is the THICK STAR. The core is TOO FAT and not nice and thin. Look at it closely. Me too started a thread on it, (Badges that is...) great info if I may say so;

The 2nd generation of S60s isn't particularly rare where I'm from so I decided to make mine more... inconspicuous.

Trust you but we will always be guessing with a de-badge? I mean it could be a D2 R-design. If u get it Polestarred; still no badge?

First off this is my first post, YAY ME!! Second, I'm loving the idea of the Tilted badges. Beyond sexy! However, I did not have the money for the higher end packages like the inscription, AWD, etc... but I worked with what I have and I hope you guys like it.

It's been Polestared since it was delivered.
I've been thinking on putting the Polestar badge on it, since I got my replacement today from them. I even got the new version.
