Just curious if anyone is using the Sensus screen protector and if they recommend it?
Thanks.

I just put my factory one on and it fit like a glove, I don't have any gaps at all.I installed the one that came with the car on Day 1 and although it doesn't cover the screen completely, it definitely protects the screen from fingerprints and potential scratches. I think it is not mean to cover the whole screen in the event you need to pull it off. But I highly recommend putting this one ASAP. If you did not get one, contact your dealer and get one. They should give it to you for free and should not charge you for it if you did not get one.
Could you elaborate on this? I had a feeling the display was not necessarily touch sensitive, as I am able to make selections and change temp simply by hovering (albeit very close to the screen) over the "buttons", but am not sure how this works or where the actual sensors are located....Since this is not a touch screen (the sensors are on the sides)...
Well, for one thing, you dog might put his dirty paw on it. Just saying....You're not putting your sensus screen in your pocket, not rubbing your rings on it, not leaving it face down on a table. What do people imagine will be scratching the screen?
Fingernails for one. They can also help against spills (e.g., you brake suddenly and you have a drink in the front cupholder and it somehow splashes on the screen). You're not putting your sensus screen in your pocket, not rubbing your rings on it, not leaving it face down on a table. Cleaning. Every time you wipe the screen you drag particles across it. Just like washing the outside of your car is when you introduce swirl marks in your paint. You're not putting your sensus screen in your pocket, not rubbing your rings on it, not leaving it face down on a table. Funny you say that. I just installed mine yesterday (Volvo OEM) and there is a notorious space around the protector. You can immediately tell.Preparing to visit the dealer today, it occurred to me to check whether the protector had already been fitted. Lucky I did as it saved me some embarrassment! Lo and behold the screen protector was fitted prior to collection. Fits so well that I had never even noticed! Thanks to those above for making me aware.
Interesting. There is a small border around mine but you have to really be looking for it. I'd say less than a couple of millimetres.Funny you say that. I just installed mine yesterday (Volvo OEM) and there is a notorious space around the protector. You can immediately tell.
This is how it looks on all sides.Interesting. There is a small border around mine but you have to really be looking for it. I'd say less than a couple of millimetres.
Odd, yours that has a gap is a different part number than the one that came with my car that fit perfectly with no gap. This is how it looks on all sides.
