Hello, I've recently encountered an audio issue with my 2008 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design. On startup, the sound goes to full volume but after 2 minutes, it starts getting quieter and quieter on its own, until after another 2 minutes, it's completely silent. I changed the 2 fuses for the infotainment system which didn't change anything.

If anyone knows if it’s an active powered radio with the cable straight from the radio to the speakers?...
or
If it’s a passive radio with an amp?

If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated!

If your sound system called “high performance sound” or “premium sound” then you have an amp in the trunk. Maybe he dying.
But if you want to replace him with a similar one, it will be dont easy. You need to remove the MOST sound protection.

No clue, my only half cooked thought would be to change the setting in the radio menu that is called something like "sound adjustment" or whatever that raises or lowers volume based on sound or driving speed. Maybe it is freaking out, so disabling it may help?

Ya on facelift models it's there behind the door , not the trunk.
