It is very annoying that when I want leave the car for 30 seconds to put something in the trunk, the engine turns off automatically after I open the door.

Can you tell me a way to leave the vehicle without turning off the engine?

There are a few solutions. Are we talking about an AAOS car I assume? Listing model year always helps... but on either tech, you can give the gas pedal a quick bounce and it will start the motor, that's generally the easiest universal way to kick the start stop off.

Mine is 2023 S60 B5 AWD, however it is not with Android software. If I press Park, unbuckle and open the door, car turns off, then I have to start the engine again... really annoying thing. But leaving the car in Neutral seems to work. Thank you.

Seconding what DFrantz said. My V60 PE does not shut off if I get out of the car. I can't lock it with it running, but I can leave it running.
Oh I have an answer for that too. You put the window down, take the key with you (very important), shut the door, and then reach in the window and hit the lock button, then pull up on the window close.. it will think you locked it from inside the car and then put the window up. So long as you have the key with you you can get back in (or use phone app).

What I said works fine with Sensus as well. Again, all you have to do when the motor shuts off is hit the gas pedal and it overides the start/stop. Easier and safer than finding neutral I'd say.

With sensus you could also simply turn the start stop off, at least in the US market. That'd be an even easier solution. In US market anyhow, it is a one time requirement and it saves that you have the feature turned off. Swipe left to right on the home screen and turn off start/stop.

I wish I could turn this feature off but my car doesn't have that option. I have always turned it off immediately after starting any of my cars... except for this one.

Although, I must say this Volvo start/stop system is well made and it goes unnoticed most of the time. I am getting used to it.
