I have a T8. The puzzle pieces just don't seem to fit right.
I think the tunnel/center console design in the T8 is different from the one in the T6, so the 2nd row mats for the two might be different. Can a T8 owner to chime in?

I can't speak for any mats but the Volvo mats that we have and in my opinion, they are great. We've got the front, second row and back mats and they fit great and offer excellent protection. My only issue is that we have blonde on blonde and if I had to do it again, I'd ask for the dark gray mats since the matching blond mats show dirt rather easily. Granted, they aren't too hard to clean but it could have been avoided if we'd requested the darker mats in the beginning. Not really an issue with the mats though, more of a color choice issue.

Fair enough for the Weathertech.

Edit: The Volvo sides seems high enough to prevent the salt stain on the cars carpet? But for some reason they don't seem as high for the passenger side. Also the absorbent pad you speak of is only on the driver side. I do not know for you guys but I don't carry my wife in my arms when getting in the car. Her boots are as dirty as mine. ;)

Having said that, from what most here are saying, I do prefer Volvo's vs the plastic feel of the other aftermarkets. But for the cargo this is another matter. Maybe get the 2 part Volvo plastic cargo mat and leave one peace at home if using the third row... Less parts sliding around.

Here is another solution I have been eyeing. They don't have any for the XC90 yet (I have sent an email inquiring) but they sure look nice. Reviews are good but not as durable as Volvo's it seems. Maybe just for the cargo? For Canada we can get them through Costco online.

U-Guard came back to me saying they have this application developed, but won't have the first shipment until late Nov.

A local company here called Findway will also have 3D mats in November. Good to have options.

I have the "protection package" in my 2017. This comes with a metal strip on the bumper to prevent scratches when people load/unload items from the trunk without lifting it up (think inlaws or similar). It also comes with the rubber "winter" mats for all three rows and the rear luggage compartment mat. The rear luggage compartment mat is broken down into three pieces. I see why they did this. But to me, it's pretty stupid. The should have just let them fold into each other. When you have the third row up all the time, you pretty much have the other two pieces sitting on top of the third piece closest to the rear door. It's a very untidy look.

The first and second row rubber mats fit very well. BUT, they don't "protect" as well as the Weathertech which have a much higher sides to it. So, I ended up putting down those "carpet wraps" to protect the side carpets during the winter. Otherwise, they sides WILL get wet and water WILL build up in these areas.

Lastly, the third row mats are a complete joke. I don't even understand why they made it "short" where a significant portion is left uncovered. I will take a pic so you will understand what I'm talking about here. Water will ABSOLUTELY collect in the carpet areas. So I'm baffled as to why they called it the "protection package" since it's very much not worth it. I would rather have the WeatherTech mats hands down.

I'll take pics and post them. Anyone want to trade?

How much can I expect to pay for the XC90 OEM Rubber mats? ... need all 4 pieces.
Any reliable online dealers to order from?
Here they are at Steingold Volvo. Keep in mind it is 5 pieces, not 4. There are 4 mats for each seat first and second row, and then the 5th piece is the one that covers the 'hump' for the middle seat in the second row.

If you want a mat for the 3rd row, here is a link for that one as well.

I linked to them in black, but they make them in blond as well.

Yes thank you for the picture.

Most are saying the third row mat was to small. But this picture might convince me to re-add it to my order. Is it just for this lip the mat isn't covering? Feet should be resting on the mat not on this raised lip...

Third row comes stock with carpet mats right? If so I'm thinking for the few times I'll use the seats carpet mat will be fine.

I use Fabric Guard from 303 to treat all carpets. One of the best stuff out there.

To bad Volvo didn't go with a solution like Toyota. Looks more functional.

Yes, it is in liquid form and the vapors are as well. Don't smoke while applying it, or hold a lighter to the end while spraying, lol.
It's like sniffing gasoline (I've heard)

:D

Apply in a well ventilated area and let dry before replacing mats. Also be careful NOT TO get it on the plastics. It's a 3M product so should be good. I have put it in all my cars over the years.

I tried to get an answer to my question in an earlier post but did not get any suggestion. Maybe this thread that is somewhat more relevant to my problem. So please let me try again to aske this audience the same question since I have still not found a GOOD solution.
We are driving our MY2016 with the 2nd row seats folded down most of the time and are looking for a floor mat that will cover the back of the 2nd row seats when the car is in that configuration. We already have the Volvo mats that cover the area from the folded 3rd row seats all the way to the back door. Has anyone found a “premade” floor mat set that will do the trick?
