Volvo has announced that Overseas Delivery orders for the 2016 XC90 may now be submitted again with deliveries at the factory starting in the first quarter of 2016. The earliest delivery will be in late January 2016.

The Vision Package is now $1,800.

At this time the Overseas Delivery base price for the XC90 T6 AWD will remain the same. However there will probably be a price change the week of August 17, 2015 and a new XC90 Overseas Delivery specification and price list released.

It would be great to hear, as the orders are processed, when are the current available dates for delivery. Some people would like to travel later than January/February.....

Thank you for the information. My wife and I are 95% sure we would like to order an XC90 using the OSD program. We are thinking a March 2016 pickup date would be ideal. When we visited the dealer recently he said the prices are going up by $1k. Is that the increase you are expecting on the 17th? If we order before then would we avoid that increase in pricing? Do you expect pricing on anything else to increase on the 17th? Just trying to decide that if we are sure we want to buy this vehicle if we should just go do it this weekend to save some $$$. Thank you or anyone else for your response. It is greatly appreciated!

Well, as its been discussed, you have to take delivery no later the 6 months from the time the order is placed. So if your order is placed August 15th say, delivery has to be by February 15th.....will that work for you? It won't for a lot of us, but I see no way around it!!!

A good catch. We're new to this process.
I think we could do a February delivery. We just returned and loved seeing Sweden in the summer. I would like to see it in the winter as well. I have a feeling that we will wait a little longer to pull the trigger on this which would get us closer to that March delivery but always looking to avoid unnecessary costs.

So you're saying that we can actually get a delivery date up to June without the price increase if we order before August 17? The only increase is the additional $200 for the Vision Package, which is already in effect.

I ordered my XC90 in Dec 2014 for delivery Aug 21, so the 6-month rule doesn't seem to apply for XC90s.
