I know everyone says that you cannot mix wax and polymer together. For some reason, it worked for me~!
I had 3 layers of Zainos on the car weeks ago, then when I got this Trade Secret carnauba wax, I decided to give it a try on the fender and see how they will mix. Of course, it was not a problem...you can put wax over Zaino, but just can't do it the other way around. Then about a week later I tried again with Zaino, and they were able to bond without any problem!!!
I did the same 30 mins~1 hr cure time wait even with the flash cure. Few nights ago, I got bored, and put another layer of the carnauba wax over the whole car....NO SWEAT! Is it just me wasting the wax and zaino or are they one way or the other able to mix with each other?

Re: Zaino + Trade Secret Carnauba wax?! (The_one_n_only)

they are not able to mix...
zaino on top of wax will just last as long as the wax will. not as long as zaino typically lasts on a wax free surface.
wax on top of zaino basically rubs out the previous zaino layer. (so i have learned)
there is practically no way to actually know if the two are bonding. you cannot see the wax molecules stretching out and clinging to the synthetic molecules and vice versa.
either way... go with the one that makes the shine you like. mixing synth and wax is like motor oil synth and dino.
I see...hmm.
So you can use Zaino on top of the wax, just won't last as long....last as long as the wax. Man....guess it's time to re-Zaino the car when the weather gets better.

(noticeable?)

But I'm now able to see some kind of depth in the paint with wax. Instead of this acrylic coating look, it seriously has this more oily wet look.
I'm pretty sure it's not a mental thingy. At least I think it's not.

Waxes = NO. thats why a zainoed car looks fresh from the factory.. Waxed cars looked like they have been waxed which give off more of an idae that you take care of your car instead of your car is brandnew.
