You R not going to believe what I just painted! Part 2

I previously painted my fog lamp grills to mixed reviews, well how do you like my main grill. I also painted selected under the hood covers to. I plan on also making the two thin black grills covering the lower radiator gap silver too.

I like the front bumper look, but under the hood I don't care for. Too much silver there IMO.

Are you talking about the front intercooler? The R has a dual intercooler setup. Painting the intercooler will likely negatively impact its cooling efficiency (debatable as that efficiency may be).

But aren't they painted as it is? (mine and several others reported on this forum are flaking the black paint in certain spots)

I like it, probably the only thing I'd have done different would be leave the eggcrate dark grey, but the grill bezel and foglamp grills http://********************/smile/emthup.gif Not sure about the under hood stuff. Sounds good in concept, but does look like too much silver overall. Maybe paint a contrasting color instead and still get rid of all the black plastic

One thing people forget, especially when they say that too much silver, or joke about my tires not silver yet, is this, How many all black volvos have everything all black, the majority do, and a good handfull have all black rims to- the total black package. I like the image of the car on , i think the ipd or viva web site that is all white with a white grill, I have wanted to make mine match for a while.

As a whole it is new and interesting, It looks better than I would have expected actually. The only thing that bothers me are the fog grilles.
