I tried to wait till I had her on my driveway, I really did, but it's 6.30 in the morning and I'm picking her up at 9! I just can't wait and I just had to share!


It's a manual T5 with black leather/suade interior with CF inlays and has a Rica chip (might be changing that soon) which according to Rica pushes it to 310HP but that's obviously debatable as it hasn't been dyno'ed. Also has crystal lights and corners (will be getting rid of those amber corners soon though) and XC grill

First mod will be springs and 18" Graphite pegs or 19" replica pegs powercoated (leaning towards 19") followed by big brake kit and saffron painted calipers.

Suggestions for tires on the 19" will be welcome as I've been searching the forums for a while and as much info as I found, I still felt the need to ask, comfort isn't really necessary, I'm young and have good teeth, I just don't want rubbing.

I will post pics if anyone wants them, but since there have been a few of them already, you know what they look like

I dunno if Roy is the same as Rob, but it is Roy's old car, but then there was a previous owner before Roy so maybe that's who you mean.

I haven't thought about joining the 850 club but I might just do that.

The older corner lights had no amber inserts and you can replace just the lens to create the crystal look similar to the ones with the amber insert. That's my theory.

Yeah that Roy, and Barry I meant Roy, it was a typo


The car was brought back to standard suspension and 17" canisto's.
I think it must be possible to remove the orange by open them (heat them up) remove the orange and glue them back together... but it must be a tricky job.

Or you can opt for the new Hova lights (projector type) and sell your clears to me

Thanks for the welcome guys, it's a childhood dream come true as I've wanted one of these since I was 14!

Yup, that Roy, that's the actual car. I'm getting my own set of pegs in either 19 or 18 and will be adding lowering springs as well soon.

I've seen some sites where they sell just the clear lens for the corners so I'm assuming it is possible on some level to remove the lens and replace it one way or another, I will be looking into. HOVA projector headlights are also on my possible mod list, any suggestions as to whether black or chrome would better on Saffron?

I have plenty of mods planned and will be launching a dedicated website to keep track of the progess, for now, I just want to drive it and smirk as all the punk Golf, Honda and Astra owners stare and wonder why they drive what they do

Looks very nice, got my egg-crate grille awaiting a fixing now, and going to get the newer lights soon. I think they together transform the appearance of the car.

How's the Rica chip going ? I presume it's a Stage 1 conversion ? Hope you're putting plenty of 98 and above RON fuel in!!
