Not Volvo related but... picking up my friend's dad's old 240SX for $1000 this weekend. RWD on a $1000 sounds like a blast to me.

hah. how about an '87 200sx sev6 for $800 ? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0"><p>i drove one of these for a year as a beater while i was building my saab. i beat the living crap out of the thing over and over and it took every bit of it! haha thats awesome. Made some spare change this summer while I wasnt in school and I figure its pretty much an investment. Even if I beat the crap out of it I can probably still break even, and if I decide to not go all the way, I could probably sell it for like $2k. Regardless my plans are settled. Find some used springs. Paint the wheels black. Strip out every single little thing thats not necessary and see how sideways I can get her around turns haha. Maybe an LSD some day but definately not soon. how did your 200sx release? im wondering how keeping the drift will be with that little power.

(according to their mechanic---> idiot). after doing some simple inspection, i saw freyed wires running to the fuel injector connection and it was shorting out so it was 100% open dumping a lot of fuel causing it to foul. i replaced the wiring, put a new spark plug in, and i started getting much better gas mileage and a whole bunch more power for my drifts into turns <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0"><p>i have a video of me burning the tires off before i put snow tires on.<p><A HREF="http://www.personal.psu.edu/mpk155/200slide.mov" TARGET="_blank">http://www.personal.psu.edu/mpk155/200slide.mov</A><br>

haha nice vid that last little burn out turn is awesome. i know im gonna buy it but i cant decide what to do with it. You can find tons and tons of used parts for them online. Imagine a little turbo kit on it? seen some used kits for like $600 haha im getting ahead of myself. Dont want to put a bunch of money into it, itd still be good to make profit. Not too sure what to do.

Since we're already in OT rear drive land, I rented a Charger yesterday. It was the first time I drove one. It was an incredible POS inside, much worse than Intrepid, but it handled surprisingly well for a base model. Little body lean, smooth but firm. I could definitely imagine 400 pony SRT version being quite nice thing to have.

Those cars are mean, im sure their handling won't impress many though.
