Time to eliminate the myth on the service light for ALL year 2000 and beyond Volvo cars. No special tool is ever required to turn off the service light as many dealerships would lead you to believe
Considering we ARE a dealership, here is the trick:
1. Turn the key to the 1st position.
2. Hold the trip button down.
3. Then turn the key to the 3rd position.
4. Light will begin to flash and about the 3rd time, release the trip button.
5. Start the car to make sure the light is off.
I hope this helps you out. The light is simply a reminder that your year/ model car needs a service to be performed and nothing else. It NEVER has anything to do with the performance of the car. Have fun!
