Has anyone used this product and if so, I was told that it is for show or offroad use only, have you had any problems with tickets or trouble with the law?? Thanks in advance.<p><A HREF="https://www.xpel.com" TARGET="_blank">https://www.xpel.com</A>/
I'm guessing your source is telling you this if you go with a tinted color of film? I have the clear film and put them on after I had to get a headlight replaced because of a rock from a truck which shattered the light. Thank god for comprehensive insurance but I just dont want to risk it again when these lights are easily over $1k. And no, I obviously have not had any problems with tickets/inspection with the CLEAR xpel
m3ntos had the smoke tinted ones, hated them because they reduced light output too much. Couple people have the blue ones, you might get a ticket for those. The clear ones no one will ever know they are on and they work well.
Hey Jack I have the tinted ones from Lamin-X for a while now and no tickets great light pattern still. And they have stood up to many track days so Lamin-X get my vote. The only down side is they look alittle purple for a week or so until they cure.
I ordered the fog lamp protectors yesterday, gonna put them on Friday. I want to get the blue head lamp, but I have <b>GiRaff3</b>'s blue and yellow fender stripes and I was worried that may be TOO much blue and yellow.<p>One day I'll get the blue covers, I'm sure.
Yeah I saw someone on here with the same setup as mine... TiGrey and Black Pegs, and he installed the blue tinted ones, but like I said I dont need anymore heat from the police around here... They already bust my b*lls about my tint, allI need is a ticket for impersonating a cop or something... ( And I know my lights do not flash, but thats how stupid they are around here) They would try and pull something like that off...

Mine has the blue film; no problems with the pigs. Looks awesome & does a great job protecting the headlights. Not aware of previous owner having problems with cops either. Blue has not affected my lights and/or output.<p><IMG SRC="http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff233/scottn941/IMG_0450_2.jpg" BORDER="0"><br>

Just peel it off and throw it away. It doesn't use adhesive or anthing like that. I just put a set of clear headlight/foglight protectors on last week with no problems, although I had to remove one to reposition it. It came off no problem and did not leave any residue (of course).<p>On a related note, I notice that I now have vertical lines in my headlight pattern after I installed the protective film. Is this normal, or did I mess up the install?
I have no idea if you installed right, bc I have not applied it yet... I was only going off what the guy that was going to do the install told me... I would have it professionally done just for the simple fact that Im retarded when it comes to installing anything... <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0">
