Getting ready to travel around 500 miles for summer vacation and gave the Volvo a once over today.
My checklist included oil, ATF, brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, belt, hoses, flux capacitor, general inspection for fluid leaks, tire pressure and inspection. I also checked the spare which had 30 psi, and it should be 60 psi.
You'd think the battery in the XC90 would be maintenance free due to its location, but for the first time in probably 6 inspections all my cells were full.
I'll carry a portable jump start, pump, tire plugs, and a breaker bar with a 19mm lug for easier tire changes if necessary.
Just wanted to remind everybody to at least check their tire pressure before traveling this year. Don't want any blowouts due to underinflated tires. Travel safely this summer.

Next week we'll be embarking on a trip with about the same distance as you. I had a flat once and removing the wheel off the hub was the hardest part.
Hopefully Niagara Falls is as nice as what people say.

The hub-centric fit up can bind with a little corrosion.
Jack
