This should be a Swedespeed.com exclusive, as far as Volvo-related fora and discussion groups are concerned. I checked in a lot of places like Volvo Spy, Volvospeed, Volvotuning and (of course) the "other" Volvo Forum but no one has posted the info, yet. I have had the info for a few days now but now it is time to unveil the detailed and much anticipated pricing of the XC90! Here we go (XC90 prices include the $625 destination charge and the $400 Philadelphia market supplemental advertising fee which will vary from city to city):
XC90 2.5T A $34,375
XC90 T6 A SR AWD $41,000
AWD std. on T6 and a $1,750 option on the 2.5T model
FWD XC90 2.5Ts will be here end of January 2003.

OPTIONS for the 2.5T:
Premium Package(Introduction offer)
Power Glass Moonroof
Leather Seating Surfaces
Power Passenger Seat
6 CD Changer, in-dash
Auto Dimming Mirror
Memory for Rearview Mirrors
Homelink
$2,575
Climate Package
Interior Air Quality System (IAQS)
Rainsensor
Heated Front Seats
Headlamp Washers
$595
Versatility Package(Require Premium Package)
Third Row Seats with Leather Seating Surfaces
Air Conditioner for 3rd Row with Separate Control
Nivomat Self-Leveling Rear Suspension
Integrated Center Booster Cushion --2nd Row
$1,675
Security Package
Infrared Windshield and Front Side Windows
Laminated Side Windows
Level Sensor
Mass Movement Sensor
$675
Stand alone options
Metallic Paint $450
AWD $1750
Integrated Center Booster $150
17" Alloys--NEPTUNE $500

OPTIONS for the T6:
T6 adds to 2.5T standard specs:
2.9L 6 cyl. engine, twin turbo, 268HP, 280 ft-lbs. @ 1800-5000 rpm
Electronically controlled AWD
Power Glass Moonroof
Leather Seating Surfaces
Power Passenger Seat
6 CD Changer, in-dash
Auto Dimming Mirror
Memory for Rearview Mirrors
Homelink
17" Alloys--NEPTUNE
Premium Package(Introduction offer)
18" Alloys--ATLANTIS
Premium Sound System, 6 CD in-dash, Dolby Pro Logic 2
Power retractable rearview mirrors
Wood steering wheel
$1,300
Climate Package
Interior Air Quality System (IAQS)
Rainsensor
Heated Front Seats
Headlamp Washers
$595
Versatility Package
Third Row Seats with Leather Seating Surfaces
Air Conditioner for 3rd Row with Separate Control
Nivomat Self-Leveling Rear Suspension
Rear Audio Head Phone Outlets and Controls
Integrated Center Booster Cushion --2nd Row
$1,675
Security Package
Infrared Windshield and Front Side Windows
Laminated Side Windows
Level Sensor
Mass Movement Sensor
$810

So...start building your XC90s!!!
I also have some new info on the rest of the 2003 models which will be a pretty short model year. Why would the security package be 810 on the T6 and 675 on the 2.5T? Is there something missing on the T6? maybe dark tinted windows or something?

But in the 2.5T, they show an additional "$194 Savings" which leads me to believe that they want to keep the 2.5T low.
Yannis

Do any of you "dealer types" know what brand and type tire is on the XC90? I would think an all season of some sort would be appropriate. One can only hope that it will be winter rated, as well.

But when I went to the NY Auto Show, the display car had the 18" ATLANTIS alloys with Continental tires (A/S). I am pretty sure that all XC90s will come with All-Season tires. Actually, there is no Volvo model in the entire line up that does not come with All-Season tires. I doubt that the XC90 will buck the trend.
BTW, I have been called quite a few things but never..."dealer type"!!!

Yannis

re: "dealer types"; not meant as dirogotory; when I was in the Air Force, us pilots were refered to as "pilot types". I think there was a subconscious bit of envy in it; so I suppose you could take it as a complement! In any event, keep up the good work and the info flowing.

I know that you did not mean that in a derogatory way. It was just different!
Yannis

I hope there are other choices than the Conti tires. My experience with them has not been good. I had a set on a MB E300, and they were out of round, which in my mind, was a mfg. defect, but no satisfaction from Conti or the dealer. Granted that was one instance, but it left a sour taste. I would love it if Nokian made a M/S tire in the size for the XC90, and by the time I get round to one, perhaps they will

I know about the Pirelli Scorpions but I don't know anything about the Conti's.
