if I wanted to pick up a V8 XC90....minus the big $$ options like nav and the DVD system....what would I expect to pay if I get a good deal from the dealer?
i'd rather buy, but would consider a lease.
what kind of incentives are out there?
i hit the volvocars site and did the "build and price" an XC90 V8..and with only the climate and touring package...it says MSRP is $50k.
are people really paying that much for the XC90? what are people actually negotiating in terms of a purchase price?

Re: XC90 prices and incentives - what are you all paying??? (23109VC)

You can use this link to see what others are paying in your area. Just click on the model you are interested in and you can price it out with your preferred options.
http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/new....html

I bought a new 2006 last September and found that the edmunds average price paid was quite a bit higher than what I paid, so I personally wouldn't use these numbers. I ordered mine in June and paid $500 over invoice but there weren't any incentives on the 2006 models when I bought.

Re: (C130)

If you go to carsdirectdotcom you can price one out. When plugging in my zip code and with the touring and climate packages, I get a price of 43,819.
Start there...maybe your dealer can beat it.
Tim

We just payed $45.5K for a new '06 V8 with touring, climate and convienence packages - picked it up yesterday. With the '07's coming out soon, you should be able to get a fairly good price on an '06 right now...
We just replaced our totaled 2006, ordered last September, with identical vehicle and saved several thousand dollars.
Pearlescent white, all options, price out-the-door - before adding accessories - was $53K.
There is one difference, our previous 2006 XC90 had factory chrome wheels but were forced to go with wheels chromed by the dealership.
Despite the special edition Ocean Blue being a limited release and incorporating a few of the changes to be found in the 2007 models they seem to be readily available and suspect deals can be made.
We attempted to hold out for a 2007; however, once spoiled, it is not easy to do (paying for a rental vehicle was also an incentive).

Note: Recently learned Volvo corporate offers a $200.00 dollar rebate on Atlantis chromed wheels from the factory.
Good luck!

If you live where they salt the roads, chrome wheels may be a bad idea. If they're done well, you should be okay, but don't be surprised if your tires start losing air a few years down the road because of unseen corrosion where the tire touches the wheel.
I've written about this here:
http://www.truedelta.com/pieces/chromewheels.php
I've surveyed my panel to see how common this problem is. Will take a first look at the results soon.
