Did anyone else see Jeremy reviewing the XC90 on Top Gear last night? He said it's the best car in the segment, with the best safety features, spec and ability. He did say, however, that the ride quality is awful and it rolls around like a van, with the feeling that it could roll over quite easily. Still, interesting review, and he likes it...

What a MORON! Is he just afraid to roll just a little? Ihave taken this car on a slalom course (cones) at speeds of up to 48 mph and the car felt AWESOME!!! WHat an idiot!
Yannis

I second that! When I took the test drives of both the 2.5T & T6, I took an on ramp (posted 25mph) at about 55mph...the salesman was a little startled, but the vehicle DID NOT roll nearly a s much as our '97 Rodeo! To me, the vehicle really drives/handles like a heavy car. -Mike

He was comparing with an X5...
But he said the interior was amazing with al those features... and if he had to put his children in a car: it would be in the XC90!

Re: XC90 Feature on BBC TV "Top Gear" (BenES)

True, and the X5 probably is much better as a road car. But it doesn't have the features of the XC90. I guess in the end, the Volvo will appeal to true family buyers, and the X5 will stay with the trendy, image-conscious "look at me" people. They are both very nice cars. Same can be said for the new Range Rover and the Mercedes ML. It's a shame Volvo didn't try and get it to drive like a road car too, like the X5. They are pretty equal in terms of off-road capability.
