I wish I could sell you mine. It came with the car. I haven't even tested it let alone used it and likely never will. Would love to recover the storage space...
Same here, I never used mine nor plan on using it. That being said, it is not easily removed nor easily just plugged into someone else's vehicle. I asked Volvo this because I wanted it out to make for more space in the center console...Let me know

May be in the US. Not in Europe. I was asked by the dealer if I wanted to add it as an option even if I do not have B&W, but I said no as I am not going to use it and I want the storage space. I have added DAB radio as in certain European countries many stations have gone DAB. Does anybody know if this technology has a future? The CD player can only be combined with the B&W system.
Source files would be more important, especially if you intend to directly connect your device. The most popular file type is FLAC, and is just as good as those which are found on CDs. You could download these online, or rip your own if desired.I understand that CD players seem like an antiquated technology to a lot of you. I also understand the desire to have more storage space. However, the sound quality from a CD is going to be much better than that of streamed music from an iPhone/iPod. If anyone knows how to improve the quality of music from one of those devices, I would love to know it.
If you don't have any hearing faults, you should leave it on the default. Flat EQs preserve artist intent. The rest has already been fine-tuned to the cabin. On a separate note - are there any audiophiles out there who have come up with the "best" adjustments for the B&W settings?
Copy your favorite cd's to a usb drive and use that. You can have your entire music library availableGreetings,
Just took delivery of my 2016 Inscription, how can I add a CD player to it?
We probably won't use it, but I would like to have one just in case.
