Hello all...
Well finally bought on 2006 XC90....and now i'm already looking in to do some 'cosemtic' modifications. I've looked at heico, and est....(expesnive stuff!!).

Anyways....I was looking in to getting miror covers in brushed aluminium. Heico has chrome ones...does anyone know of any sources?

Also...i'm very curious if anyone has come accross a BBK that fits the XC90??!!!

Both AP big 6 or Brembo 8 pots will fit. Time to get your check book out.

You can get the mirror covers from the dealer. They are the ones on the XC90 V8.

OZ wheels: 19x8.5" with 255/50/WR19 tires ~$3000
AP Fronts: 6 pistons with 380mm rotors ~$4000
Brembo Rear: 4 pistons with 330mm rotors ~$2000

Give or take a few dollars...

hey ifnt420....could you share the exact specifications for the brakes and rotors and brackets please.

Also do volvo OEM wheels give the proper clearance or are spacer required?

Any update on XC90 or V90 performance upgrades. Will the Polestar Brebro brakes fit and what about the Ap 4 pot rear brakes; any idea of whether the Ohlin struts w/springs for the V60 and upgraded F/R sway bars w/chassis braces will fit?

What size front rotors do you have now?

I'm going to do the 336mm rotor/caliper upgrade. They're bigger than the Brembos that come on the R's. That plus braided lines and should be sorted for a lot less money that can be put towards other mods...

Bigger rotors but smaller surface area for brake pads. The Brembos have more pistons.

Leto, you had posted about a brake pad change previously, regarding cold/wet performance... What was the outcome with the new pads? I just swapped to OE Jurids, need to confirm with proper weather still but optimistic.

Regarding brake upgrades, I'm actually now considering the Volvo 328mm calipers given the dual piston design...

No complaints so far with my Akebono pads, but I also haven't had any huge downpours to drive in since the pad change like I had earlier.

That said, I've been running Akebonos on my S80 and my previous XC70 since ~8 years ago. I never had any issues with them in the rain, so I'm pretty confident they'll do fine on the XC90 as well.
