I've posted extensively in the S60 forum about my dislike of the S60 RD brakes.

I believe the XC90 has the same ssize front rotors - 316MM on the I-6 car if I'm not mistaken. The interesting thing is that I have never had an issue with the XC brakes. In fact I've had to make a few panic stops after which I was rather impressed with the braking ability. The XC90 is at least 1000 lbs heavier than the S60 and I'm not shy about mashing the brakes, yet there is no glaze or fade I've experienced in the XC. In my S60 I've detected initial fade and noticed glazing.

Is there something I'm missing here? Did the 6 cyl RDs get 336MM brakes?

I found some spec pages saying the RD I-6 has 336MM brakes. That would explain it!

The brakes are my 2nd least favorite thing on my V70 RD (#1 being the transmission). Do the XC90 RD brakes have better feel?
The pedal feel is not BMW-esque but it's good enough. And the car stops well.
